Every Friday, a snack bag makes all the difference.
For more than 1,600 kids across Central Texas, Friday means something extra: a backpack bag from Ancora's Feed Kids Right Now weekend food program, packed with five meals plus snacks to carry them through the weekend. This means that instead of coming to school hungry on Monday, they are arriving ready to learn.
For three years, we've been renting space at the Outpost, a 1,750 sq ft house that we started to outgrow last fall. We've made it work because the mission demanded it. But our landlord is demolishing the house, and we have to be out by July 31st. Now is the time to move into our next permanent home — 5,000 sq ft of operations space that will multiply our capacity and expand our reach across Kyle, Buda, Lockhart, Dripping Springs, and Austin.
To make that move, we want to raise the $60,000 in additional rent we are going to need for the first year before we move in on August 1st. $60,000 in 60 days. Every dollar gets us one step closer to the door of our new home. This is our moment, and we don't want to miss it.
